Hey guys i know i havent been on in a long while. Im in hopes to be on here a more now that i have time.
Now im in the process of changing my tranny in my s10. I let my girlfriend take it and she bought it back with a blown rear end and tranny. I know i helped it along with plowing and beating on it so i wasnt all that mad. But i dont want it to happen again for a long time. I was looking at buying a TCI tranny for it do u guys think its worth the money. $3500.

if it was mine i would buy a reman from general motors, they have a great warranty on them and a lot cheaper than what you are looking at

I have to get a 4L80E for my truck this fall and it was priced 1900 ish and has a 3 year 75,000 mile warranty IMO i would not dump $3500 into a tranny.

I think im just going to take the tranny out and have someone rebuild it. And ill add a few things better servos, boost valve stronger sunshell (people say its one of the weak points of the 4l60e. and a deep pan will a drain plug and a spot for a tranny gage sensor. Ill be taking pics of everything and posting. Much thanks guys.
O by the way the only thing i lost was second gear.
