I'm sure they have US distributors, and sell in the US.
I had one a long time ago,but just the blade.I was running a Western harness with underhood hydraulics. The blade held up quite well.Actually, one it was painted red,you have a hard time telling it wasn't a Western.

I know that a few hours north of the city Arctic plows are very popular and have been for many years. The guys up there tell me they are great. I'm starting to see more around here. The price seems good compared to other plows, I guess because of our low Canadian dollar. I have an old one that I bought used that is on my back-up truck, I have only used it 3-4 times but it seems pretty good.

I haven't seen any Artic Plows in my neck of the woods, but from what I've read about them there suppose to be a very well made plow.

I agree we need an Arctic plow forum. I guess they are a Canadian made plow. They are a very good plow. I am from Sarnia, Ontario, Canada and that's all I see around here except the odd Fisher and Boss. So here's another vote for an Arctic Plow Forum! :)

Yeah Mike,I'm looking into the big stuff again.I just needed a year to slow down a bit,and recoup.I have a few big ones lined up for next year, just trying to sort out all the details. There is a ton of work out there,if you know how to get it... :D
I just wish they could go back to the old fashioned square parking lots, instead of these new fancy lots, with a million little obstacles and islands. They also don't leave you any room to put snow, and they scream when you tell them we have to truck it all away.

I know what you mean. I do a new furniture store. They have lamp posts 10 feet in to the lot, instead of on the edge. Islands comeing out with fancy garndens every where.
Real pain in the butt too plow ...

I hear ya man! We have one parking lot that is totally square except there are 3 lightposts in the very middle. Those stupid light posts add like 15 minutes to the job!
These Arctic plows are pretty good. They seem to hold up well to the abuse that they are put through. We still NEED an Arctic plow forum!
How big of a piece did you break off your cutting edge? If it's not too bad you can flip your blade over. Then it might prevent it from breaking off again for the rest of the season. Then maybe this summer you can buy a new cutting edge (like $150 or so) and use the one you have now for a back-up. Just a thought.

Ya, we are supposed to get 2-5 cms so I will at least be going out for at least half a run if not a full one.... All of our customers are done on 5 cm but some like it done on 2-3! Wow! I wish I had that kind of money laying around! If I see you I'll be sure to wave! But, watch out for my plow, I might hit ya! See ya!

There is a dealer around here who got rid of Western & Meyer to go with ONLY Arctic now. He doesn't like to make repairs, only install stuff. So he said he was tired of fixing those 2 and he liked the fact that he rarely has his Arctics come in for repairs, so he made the change. I have seen them up close & they look well built, but have never used one & don't know anyone who is.

They are a nice unit. We have a couple of older units and they hold up pretty well. The only complaint I have is when you him te down switch they just drop. They don't go down slow. The newer ones go down slower. Is there a way to change this at all? Also, we got our pumps and mounted them under the hood close to the engine. This gets the fluid to a warmer temperature faster and also makes it so if you have to work on it then it will be warm and dry. I WANT AN ARCTIC PLOW FORUM!

It's about 30-40 minutes north west of Orangeville. Dundalk is one of the snow capitals of Canada. It's about 1800 feet above sea level.

Ya it snowed a little over night here but not much, it drifts alot though because it's very open here. For today were supposed to get 15-20cm with more to come over night. I'm not that busy though, I'm just doing some sub work for a guy. Lately we've been plowing 2-3 times a week.
