New Powerlite

I picked up a new 3.5hp Toro Powerlite the other day. Just need some snow to use it on. It's for walks and small areas I was just running the shovel down. I read about it here and it did have a good rating from guys using it so I will find out. I need to replace my larger blower as well and if this works out OK I will get a 10hp 2 stage to go with it.
How deep of a storm will the Powerlite handle? I don't want to beat the thing down.
