Sorry for so many posts lately but I'm running on a learning curve. Outside of taking the coil and valve out of the block then attaching the coil to the valve and applying power to see and hear if the core moves in the valve, is there another way to test the valve? This would need to be a way that the average person cold do at home.

Thanks
Bill

Define average person.......I've got some suposedly average people that can't remember to hook up the ground lead to the pump and wonder why it doesn't operate correctly or blow a hose and repalce it but forget to put in fluid.

Honestly, having the coil on the valve and checking for full movement is the best test. Otherwise a small screwdriver or punch to push in on the moving part of the valve. Problem is that this does not always show correct operation.
