Power Chip

Do any of you guys run a jet chip or something similar in your diesels? I want to try get a little more power our of my 6.5 Turbo. What brand is the best, and what kind of performance increase can I expect. Would my fuel economy go down a lot? Thanks

If your 1993 6.5 is mehanical injection then no chip upgrade available.Performance gains can be made with exaust and turning the pump up for more fuel.

Yep it is the mechanical pump. I've put a larger diameter exhaust\muffler on it too. Ah well:mad: Thanks for the info, I didn't realize I couldn't upgrade it. I shouldv'e got the electronic pump put in when I had it replaced a couple years ago.

Actually most all performance 6.5 engines use the mechanical DB2 pump. It is alot more reliable, and no FSD issues.

Check out www.heathdiesel.com. He has a few things you could use and is a great guy to deal with.
I would get injectors, turn up the fuel and get the Turbo Master wastgate arm from him.
