Boss has put some new videos up on their web site. They compare the Boss V to both the Western and Fisher V, The Boss Superduty to the Fisher HD and Western Pro and the Homesteader/Suburbinte to the Boss Sport. Boss breaks it down into small clips including lighting, plow construction, controlls, attatchment systems, paint and warranty. Kinda interesting to watch. Seems like they are really going after both Western and Fisher.

those are cool videos. but you sure as hell didnt see them try to compare with the blizzard power plows.
the other thing was to me the fisher and western v's still looked like better then the boss. maybe i missed something lol.
i would consider a boss straight blade though. they look to be tough plows. my next plow will be fisher hands down until blizzard gets there act together and makes thier plows more durable. the latest blizzards have to many problems
have a good day

There is more spin in that marketing than a convoy of semi's in an ice storm.

I like the Boss website. It looks like a lot of manufacturers are using the mini-vid's on their information sites. No doubt a plus!
Those video's are interesting and I do like the mounting systems but I do have to agree that there is some spin toward Western & Fisher. I like how easy they make the Boss look when hitching and how the others seem to be some what of a bother when doing the same.
Let's face it, we have all been in the position sometime or another where there are troubles when hitching a blade to a truck. Plows and their hitchs/harnesses have come a long way over the years reguardless of make.

when comparing the plows they skip the pro plus and went to the pro series plows. They chose a plow that the boss would compare superior too, but representative of the entire western line. They did the same with the fisher plows, no mention of the x blade line.
I understand why they are marketing this way, but I put company sales and marketing divisions right along side coneventional media outlets for sale of souls to the devil.

Sales is a tough end of any business. It's one end of being in business that I really don't care for just because of examples like this. It's called "Playing the game"!
Dino, How do the Western & Fisher premium lines stand up to the Boss that was displayed? I'm kind of in the dark since all of my plows are older conventional rigs.

the attachment, hydro, lighting, and control systems are the same. So the boss "advantages" will still be the same. The x blades trip springs are still non adjustable, but it does have x bracing. The pro plus line has a huge quadrant, 4" tube I think, with postive stops, and 1" diameter center pin and bushing. If boss compared to that plow it would have looked just silly.
As for the v plow 2 piece moldbaord. it is due to the trip ege design.
I to hate the sales side of my business as well. But I do my best to play it straight and not prop my self up higher but dragging the competition in the dirt.

Thank's Dino. I guess just like anything you need to take every variable into consideration.
