I'm thinking about buying a plow (Fisher probably). Has anybody reversed the lift controls? Having driven forklifts and loaders and such for years, I think most plow controls are backwards. I know a guy that had an older cable controlled Fisher that mounted the lever on the dash upside down and then switched the hoses on the angle cylinders. Sounds ridiculous but when I use a plow with the normal controls it screws me all up, Then I get accustomed and get back on the backhoe and am screwed up again for a minute or two.

Can this be easily changed with the newer electric controls (like via a switch)? Or do you have to resort to switchin wires around? Anybody done this (made their plow so moving the joystick down or toward you (or pushing the bottom button) raises the blade and vice versa to lower?

Yes,it can be done. It's different depending on the plow you chose.Easiest way is to flip the control upside down, and they reverse the angle cyl hoses on the plow at the power unit. You can also flip the control and rewire the left and right functions, but it's more work, and harder to reverse if you want to go back.
