My wife told me of a story she heard on the news the other night:
A U.S. Serviceman was returning to Iraq after being home on leave on a commercial airliner. The stewardess informed the Captain, he made an announcement on the PA and invited the soldier to occupy a vacant First Class seat. He received a standing ovation as he made his way to First Class and took his seat.
The stewardess soon learned there were three more servicemen on board returning to Iraq, but there were no more First Class seats. The Captain made another announcement on the PA to acknowlege their presence and again, a standing ovation.
Next, three people in First Class volunteered to surrender their seats and these additional servicemen got to ride in style as well. It's great to hear our guys are getting the support they deserve!!!
:salute
