Anyone got one? Here is the website http://www.hiniker.com/snow_products/hp_cplow.html# I heard about them a year ago but never had the chance to see one.

Looks like it would be pretty effeciant for Condo's, residentials, etc.

All the virtues of a back plow. Only without the down pressure. :wah

The only other problem I see with them is that you couldn't put markers on them. Not only would they most likely get knocked off, they would slap up against the garage door if you were doing a driveway.

Actually the newer ones have the markers mounted on the back side on a part that doesn't fold foward. I believe that it is one of the back braces. I had looked into one but I have heard different things about the Hiniker plows.

Matt,

My sister owns a condo in this pretty large condo complex in town and the contractor who plows there has several of the C-Plows and they seem to do a nice job of clearing in tight condo driveways... Now if they would only be more religious in getting the driveways cleared for what the residents pay we would be all set :D

They just showed up around here, I've seen 2 or 3. A GMC dealer has one mounted on a new 2500hd next to a bunch of Fisher (#1 plow in Maine). Seems like a good idea, I would be interested in trying one out.

I have seen one up close and watched it operate last summer
at the RCS bbq in Rochester................

Pretty neat.......Didn't ask about the price tho.
I took a few pics too! They are posted in the old RCS bbq thread from
last summer. A search will bring them up !

We've been using all Hiniker plows now going into our 3rd season. The dealer in this area offers great support. I almost bought the new poly C plow last season but at the last minute held out for the new scoop plow that they had just come out with. I know several of the local contractors running the C plows in these parts. 2 things that they all mention about the plows, 1 - with the factory box ends on the plow really doesn't back drag that much more snow and 2 like a pull plow/back plow it will only pull back so much snow and then it starts to ride up a bit. Having said that they all think the plows are a great setup. As Jay mentioned the guys love the plows for condo setups as well as loading ramps/docks. I know the one company switched to the C plow so that they could run a v box spreader in their truck. Previously they ran a Daniels pull plow and Western blade but the pull plow prevented them from installing a spreader in the truck.

Saw this on UTube. I am really going to serious consider a driveway truck with one.

I can see Father Fred just boiling over the operator moving that plow around at idle speeds, killing the electrical system on the Hummer...

Speaking of Hummers.......The guy who ownes A dealer here in CT. (no names but it is in Hartford) has a Hummer. He was happy to finally get a plow wide enough for his toy.... A few years ago he busted my Balls about going with a 8611 for the 6500....now who is busting balls.....?????

Back to the topic of the thread. I really would like to see one of thes work in person! I am thinking a 1990-1995 Chev/GMC short bed 1500 with timbrens for driveways? Plow will probably cost more than the truck?

Matt, ran one last year that a guy had. For my money if you're planning on making a driveway rig I'd go with a 760 speed wing on the front and a Snowman single cylinder back blade in straight blade or a smaller version of the swing wing.

Used to do a bunch of driveways and on a short bed Cheve or Ford 1/2 ton the combo gives great weight ratio front to rear and is very manuerable.

Speaking of Hummers oh never mind that was last night.:wink

Really on the C plow My friend / Contractor Wayne Riggie who died two winters ago and left the buss with the boys and his wife Jeanie had bought one the first year they came out for some townhouses they do. I seen Buck running it this year Wayne wasnt that crazy about it but he thought i was a bit nuts for buying blizzards up here with no dealer "Little did he know huh"

The plow seems to tax the electrial system like Howard says when there doing several jobs close together other wise its a standard straight blade. Like J said i personally would stick with a back blade. Matt if your looking for a Resi Rig that will plow like no tomarrow then reach in that you have sold half your stuff to members here fund and buy the Wrangler from me:D.

Hinker and curtis were short lived up here not sure who even is close anymore on dealer support. I sat with Wayne on one drive he did the first year seemed like he was making HAPPY hands with it not sure i could run the dang thing for 8 hours of resi work without needing a Hummer after.:wink

We have an 8' hiniker folding plow we mounted to one of our bobcats we use at one of our condos as well. Works excellent for backblading next to garages/cars. When we first got it we had to re-route all the hydraulic lines because for some reason it was setup so they were rubbing anywhere and on everything. Since then it has been a great plow.

I am planning on building a 24x50' barn this year. So that is where all my resources are going. Plus changing the forte of the business a little and need to change some equipment.

My wifes uncle is trying to sell his also. He has a nice black one. I could probably get it for 12k
