Ok guys and gals.
Avatar site size is 50 x 50 or 20000 bytes whichever is smaller.
OK......... now........
I have a avatar that is roughly the same size (pixel) as some of the other bigger ones..
(i'm not naming names)
I've compressed this with every program i have plus 2 steam rollers and assorted ford, chevy, dodge, trucks. My file size(not pixel size) is now about 1/2 of the others. According to my thinking it should load up.. It still says file to big. 50 x50 max. something is eluding me.. I don't want a huge avatar but 50 x 50 is to small in my opinion.. I might have to get the iron out and do something else but i just want a reason..

140x79
size is 1394 bytes.
I want it down to 125 x ??? whatever it reduces into correct ratio
according to what was told on site you can fool the pixel size and load a bigger pic... well it ain't hapening LOL

can someone just kick me and tell me what i'm missing ??

No special software.

I am not exactly sure, as I have always added them as an Admin... Many of the "rules" don't apply to Admin actions.

I agree. If we're going to bother hogging up site resources, we might as well be able to see the darned pics ;) I can't see what cat320 & Bowtie have in their avatars,without getting a headache from squinting. :scramble

I don't think that should take up the whole page but just a little bigger to see them would be nice.I just ket reducing and reducing that pic i found I thought that iwas doing something wrong when i triead earlier to put something on there.
