Get one leak fixed and discover another. Life is good. :)
Fixed the leak from under the motor (pump shaft seal) and now find hydraulic coming from the cover of the cylinder tank. Don't want to take it apart until I hear from some of you as to what it might be.
I'm hoping it's just the O-ring,but hey , this is only the second breakdown for me.:)

There are a couple of O-rings, a sleeve, a washer etc. in there under the cap. If you open it up, I'd replace all of that while you're there. You say you fixed another leak recently? I would overhaul the whole thing & replace all of the seals. Seal kit costs around $60.00 or so American. You can download the instructions from the Meyer site if you don't have the service manual.

Thanks BRL, would you suggest the complete rebuild now or just the o-rings for now and the rest after the snow.
Easy job to replace the o-rings?
I have the manual and it looks rather simple but not being a mechanic I would rather go through something slowly so that I can abserve and absorb the intent of each part. I'm a reasonably quick study, but need time the first time. :)

Your call. I'm no mechanic either but I've had my share of these pumps apart & they aren't that difficult, especially with the manual handy. If you feel comfortable following those instructions, go for it. If not, take it to a dealer and have them do it to be reasonably sure its done right ;) I don't think they charge that much for that, but they may find other problems or concerns along the way that may need fixing, so that can add to the bill.

As far as doing them all or just the ones needed now, if you have the time, I'd do them all. If snow is impending, get the broken ones done at least. You have gotten lucky in that the seals that have broken so far have just been slow leaks that still allow use of the plow. But a more important seal could blow at 2:30 AM that might not allow further use of the plow, so that possibility might help in your decision? Good luck!
