Ive got an 05 2500 GMC and Im looking for ideas for where to mount the plate that holds the plugs.Id like to keep it out of the way of dirt and plow action.PICTURES WOULD BE GREAT

Don't mount it.Leave the plugs hanging out under the grille. You can then pop the grille forward, and tuck them in during the off season.

I find when things are hard mounted, they can get pulled or disconnected when they get covered in ice and snow.I know it may not be the prettiest solution, but it works.

This may not be for everybody, but this is how I hung it on our 05 2500HD when I re-installed the Boss RT3.
I cut the hook part of the driver's side tow hook off square with the front of the truck, then drilled a small piece of angle iron to mate to the steel part that mounts the electrical cables. A few seconds worth of 7018, and the connector bolted right on inside of the tow hook hole in the air deflector. The balance of the tow hook is used for the plow kit installation, as usual.
I did not have to cut a large chunk from the air deflector to mount the plow, just two tiny trim marks were needed for the side plates, so the connector looks neat when the plow is off.

I have the power line tucked into the bumper opening.
The plow harness connector tucked in the same hole as the hook.
I just wedge it in the same hole as the hook when the plow is off. Holds it pretty good.
Just like Chris said, been working fine.
