Put one of these in my rig last week. Relay box has a dip swutch that lets you choose if a switch is momentary or on/off. Also switchable sequencer - when on switch one not only powers it's function but acts as a master and lights up all that are set as on/off. You can then overide any you want off. That's really nice, I have several that are what I call high hazzard. Approaching the driveway hit the master everything powers up - looks like the fourth of july. Clear the curb-cut and enter the property - overide to just led's, clear the lot -exiting the property one button shut's em off. decided to keep this rig stealth so no exterior lights - it's switching:

1. Rear strobes (4)- two hidden in the amber turn signals, two whelen linears in the bar inside the rear window
2. Front strobes (2)- two hidden in the amber turn signals
3. Rear / Side LED's (16) - inside back window, federal 8 led head traffic advisor driven by a sho-me strobe effect flasher (bar also modified to hold 2 linear strobes - on switch 1) & 4 sho-me 3" led heads inside each rear door glass
4. Front LED's - Leeds 16 diode dash light
5. Strobe Pattern Control
6. LED Pattern Control

Super stealth  - with the factory tint you can't see the lights when they're off. Can't miss them when they're on. I have to get some pictures up but the lights seem to wash out the picture. Have to try again tommorrow

Fred, finally a voice of reason. I too some years ago was sitting in the wrecker and was wondering to myself why everytime I did a nighttime recovery I had a headache. Some how I came to realize that it was the strobes that was doing it to me. And it seemed worse when it was snowing out. I guess the lightbar flashing 16 times a sec. I too am replacing my rotators with a mini led light bar.....Rob

One guy has bid 8 times on that light and its increments of $5 and $10. Looks like someone is trying to up the price of the auction. I guess buddy doesn’t want to loose money on the new light.

Even if he was doing that whats the point the auction is still 5 days away from closeing? I try to wait until the end of the auction so the price isnt so high in case there is no reserve and in case everyone intrested isnt glued to there screen when the auction is about to end.

He wants $300 for a reserve, I asked because I was thinking about buying it but I have to many lights already. Snowboy, I was looking at your pictures and It looks like that Talon is in your view while driving. I had one of those and when I first got it I put it there and it was in the way, then I had it above the mirror but too much flash back so I put it on the dash and it worked out great but I sold it:headwall Now I run a Whelen visor light. I need to get some leds in the rear window tho.

I switched over to ALL LEDS starting last season ending this season. The strobes drive you crazy in a heavy snow and are just burning up all the time and draw lots of AMPS.

The LEDS flash bright and forever. Yes, I have to clean the snow/ice off from time to time but still better that running the strobes

Not to mention the studies that Pelican keeps referring to (I have read them also) that show that more lights actually confuse the general public and will draw them towards you instead of warning them to stay away.

Yup its great and not in my way. I'll have to route the cable down the colum next season and maybe hard wire it or put a quick connect terminal so i dont have to tear the truck apart alll the time. My talon has a flash box maybe you didnt have that?

Look on ebay for the crown vic rear window kit or just buy a single talon head they are only $99each or get 2 tir3 for $100 on ebay. I live by ebay half my truck is ebay.

I just bought another dual blue talon yesterday. I love that light it was a big mistake to sell it. I am very happy with the choice I made, I put it above the mirror again although it flashe back it doesnt bother me I will need pictures of it again, I am also looking for some blue strobe tubes because you cant run clear as plowing or volunteer fire. I like alot of lights :haha

Snowboy,

I noticed you have the TTT mirrors... how do you like them?? I am considering buying those. Also would you mind taking some measurements of them... I would like to know how much they stick out from the truck when retracted... straight out from the window not along the mirror angle as well as total width when retracted mirror edge to mirror edge...
