For those interested in exactly how much the system draws. Since there was many responses to the alternator upgrade thread, I measured my MM1 setup at the shop the other day.
Fisher MM1 electric/hydraulic 8 foot blade on an 01 Ram. Lifting the blade drew 140 amps, and peaked at 180+ amps when piston topped out. Blade has no foil, and is the older M series(heavy). When in snow bank the weight will obviously be more.
