The Fisher isnt scrapeing well. It will at times mainly streets it scrapes very well but backdragind and even sometimes plowing froward on a driveway it wont peal up hardpack. The edge thats on it has seen better days and I've contemplated putting the u edge the u ede i have but that will give me even porer performace?

Is there a better way tackling driveways I have to spend 20 mins per drive in order to do a half decent job and then still have to do a little stick plow work sometimes.

If i replace the steel edge will it scrape any better then it does now and will it do better back draging?

The real issue is the attack angle. What set of holes is your A frame to push beam in. Use the bottom set, there should be 3. If that doesnt do the trick, look into an aftermarket kit that replaces a trip spring, and allows you to set the attack angle to any desired position. This will allow you to dial in a better scraping plow. Lastly install a new steel edge that isonly 1/2" thick. This single edg should allow you to scrape better, make sure it hangs below your base angle.

I would go with a new 8"x5/8 edge. The edge is almost double the weight of the stock 1/2 and will help with scraping.
The U edge will have less scraping ability when it's frozen but for most storms its equal and when the snow is wet it will do better than steel.

I cant use the bottom. Previous owner busted one side off. I guess I could weld a new piece of flat stock on and see what that does.

I am contemplating putting on the U edge to see how it works but once its drilled and cut it will only fit on a 8' plow. I cant see a U edge working well in wet snow especially when pull rather then pushing. The blade ramps over the snow as it is. The idea of making a back drag edge came up but that was pointed out to me that it actually might aid in pulling the blade up with snow building in behind it. My drives are not countered at least my black top ones aren’t so it wouldn’t gouge any of my drives.
