As some of you in the chat last night already know, Wednesday was the day I made my trek to Erie for my first Blizzard plow. I know how often the praises have been sung as to the professional service you recieve from Jerre Heyer and his crew, but I feel it is necessary to give credit for such service when it is experienced.

Let me begin by explaining that Tuesday evening Erie recieved significant snowfall amount of at least 12", up to 22" in areas. Needless to say, Jerre's was a busy place when I got there in the early afternoon. The events of the day were certainly an eye opener, and definitely reinforce the necessity of preventitive maintenance, or any maintenance at all in some cases.

After a long, (and frustrating) afternoon, a determined Tom was bent on ensuring that I would be leaving with my plow. After working endless hours the evening before, I was impressed with his resolution and dedication.

I would like to thank Jerre and the guys - Tom, Shawn, and Mike - for a great purchase experience. They truly do go the extra mile - and it's worth the drive just for the exceptional service. I am looking forward to the benefits of Blizzard ownership, as well as the service provided by Jerre's.

If all holds true, I may be lucky enough to put the bad boy to the test already tonight. If I'm careful, maybe I can get that new plow shine to last as long as Mike has on his plow.

Thanks again Jerre!

Craig, I don't know who had the longer install but you both said the same thing. I learned how they work, what to look for, got ALOT of questions answered and couldn't believe some of the people and questions / problems they came in with.

Dave, it was a pleasure to have you down. Tried to call you in the AM but line was busy. Guess those guys of yours were talking your ear off. Hope the baby is feeling better and you gave youre wife a big hug for letting you out of town for the day.

We are getting hit again tommorow and got about 10 last night in places so it's shaping up for as I told you, a winter like the late 70's where the snow don't melt or go away. Guess I'll have to break out the blower soon.

Dave

Was it easy bringing your new plow back home across the the border? Did you have to pay any duty or GST?

Thanks Chuck! I guess that is the way it is supposed to happen. Then again, crossing over at 3:30 a.m. does have it's benefits....

The Polar Express headed back down to the sunny shores of Erie, to once again partake in the "Erie Coast Custom Plowers" experience. This time, I brought backup.

J & T worked their magic - and the 2 Erie virgins were introduced to the dynamic duo. Nothing short of the typical shock & awe - and all went home tired and sweaty, in deperate need of a hot shower.

The 2 fellas that came up with me - one is a lifelong friend, plowing in a different market, the other a "backup-sub" (he just hates shoveling his driveway). A million thanks to Jerre & Tom for being gentle - and for introducing two more satisfied customers to the world of Erie 810's. So #53, 54 and 55 were assembled and installed yesterday, to begin a lifelong journey battling the elemets of the frozen tundra from where the Polar Express originated. Jerre & Thomas, your professionalism shines through in what you do - it's evident in every piece of equipment that leaves your establishment. Bryan & Gerald were more than impressed - and were glad to take the trip. They have two great snowfighters to show for it.

I also want to add a thankyou to Fred - the break room addition is wonderful! We had the pleasure to enjoy it for a time. Jerre wasn't all that impressed with the viewing selection, but when in Rome.... Apparently he voiced his concerns with some of the other members here, but don't be alarmed by his comments. I don't know whether it was the refreshements talking, or wether the romantic ambience of Jerre's shop led to certain events, but what happens in Erie stays in Erie.

A few pics for those who prefer visuals - assorted pics of Erie #53 on the tan GMC, Erie #54 on the green Dodge. and Erie #55 on the green GMC. And a quick thanks to Matt (hlntoiz) - your courage allowed me to overcome the thought of plasma and a chrome bumper in the same sentence.

Pic 1 - #54 ready to roll. Sure hope that Dodge doesn't squat in the front end, or overheat quickly!
Pic 2 - #53 ready to roll. It's a GMC, it'll be fine.
Pic 3 - Holy Dave - Matt didn't cry!

And finally:

Pic 1 - It was cold, dark, the photgrapher was tired, and the pic is blurred. But #55 is ready to roll.
Pic 2 - All is well upon the return to the frozen tundra.
Pic 3 - This new snowfighter shows off it's acrobatic abilities - to extend, flip it's wings forward, and rise to new heights all at the same time!

Thanks again Jerre and Tom!

Dave, Thanks for the kind words. The 5500 sure is a nice looking rig. I guess the boarder patrol didn't give you too much trouble. Glad you all made it back safe and sound.

Hopefully you bring Bryan and Gerard back down in the spring with you.

No Timmy cups - maybe a few empty Coruna's! Jerre got the cable fixed when we were there - so spent some time channel surfing. After we couldn't find the Leaf game, we settled on Discovery channel. Good thing the Leaf game wasn't on - would have been a waste of time to watch. They've been playing like *****!

I had alot of fun screwin with you guys in chat - J and I were splittin a gut. Of course there was a whole lot of work going on too.
