Definately more than we are use to the past few years.
Could be a very good year..

Certainly keeping us busy. Hope it continues!
Definately a good start to the season. Just wished it had started sooner. We've got nearly half our snow total for the year in two storms over the past four days.
Lots of calls from the snowblower crowdpayup .
So far I've tripled my customer base in the past week, not counting the calls for "one time plow".

The farmers almanac said to expect heavier than normal snow fall earlier in the season. The 2nd part of winter would be normal to below normal.
Looks like they nailed it so far. I hate late winter / spring snow storms so I hope the whole thing is correct. Nothing like plowing 4" of slush on top of mud :headwall

Finished the last driveway this morning. On the way back out the narrow road one of the transplants from away ran the truck off the road. $250.00 for another A frame.

No, it was a full size van. They are always stuck when I go in this road. Needless to say, they won't be getting any help from us in the future. The even had the gall to drive off. Would love to pay them a visit with the Topkick and wing, but it certainly isn't worth it.

How many Mainers do we have here?
Aside from those that have posted above, I know of GeoffD, KRC, Twakem, and of course me. That's just off the top of my head so there may be more. That's 11? There were a few more that were on the other site that haven't seen the light yet........give them time!

NECN is saying 5-8" up my way! It's gonna be slippery underfoot, with all this ice, it will make it miserable to push.

It makes short work of driveways and roads. I just got the sander up and running on it last week, Thats another story for another time! I wish I had some sub work for it. Hopefully when we finally get buried I can sub it out pushing back driveways etc...

It's not like they actually have to be right, no one is holding them to it. They make a guess on the weather, then by the next day no one remembers what they said the previous day.
I can't believe how far off NECN was. They were still saying 5-8" for my area at 930pm, while WCSH and WGME had changed to say 1-4" at noon, 9 1/2 hours earlier! Its like they had made up their mind, and were sticking to it, even though it was painfully obvious they were way off base.
WPOR uses the weather channel based in Georgia, they were saying snow during the day, all day, and it wasn't snowing! At 8 am they were saying how it was going to snow during the day. Only problem was, it wasn't snowing! And yet they continued to say it would snow all day. Really been disappointed in their weather forcast. Anytime a local radio station uses a weatherman from Georgia, there's something wrong!

I noticed that too. I was in the shop doing some fabrication and kept looking out the window everytime it came on. Kind of makes you wonder........but funny just the same!

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed. Does anyone else feel like inundating them with emails to use someone different?
