Are power brooms helpful?

I got a call today from my Bobcat dealer, a guy is trying to unload his 84in power broom. Hes used it once and its not what he needs. They sell for 5400.00 and this guy wants 3500.00 just to get out from under it. Are they any good for snow like below 6in?

I have a T190 and rented the rotary brush to do the sidewalks at a Target. It worked great on 4 inches. I told the dealer I was keeping it and he sent me a bill for $2400. No charge for the rental.

They use one around here on a toolcat at a shopping center. Seems to work best on brick paver walks etc will plows will cause damage and not do as good of a job.
