I got my plow out today and changed the fluid (thanks to ATgreene for the help). While I was powerwashing it this afternoon I noticed one trip spring has a coil collapsed. The spring isnt broken or cracked as far as I can tell but there is just one coil in coil bind without the blade tripped. Is this a problem and should I bother to replace this spring? The plow is a 7'6" Fisher RD Minute Mount.

How old is the plow?

I am not exactly sure how old it is. It is a late MMI with Insta Act Hydraulics. My best guess is that it is 5 or 6 years old.

I would suggest you replace it so you don't put extra stress on the others.I had a 9' and went through about 20 springs on it.Fisher did send me a free batch. They did admit they had a bad batch but they only lasted about 20 min before they went out of round.:beatsme
I hope you have better luck than i did.

Collapsed spring is the first sign of failure,it's time to replace it or others will follow.
